Individual Mental Health Counseling

I am accepting new clients for individual therapy, meeting on a HIPAA-compliant Telehealth platform. I have extensive experience and specialize in working with adolescents and young adults living with anxiety disorders, including and manifesting as: generalized anxiety, social anxiety, perfectionism, and panic attacks. Additional areas of experience include depressive disorders, identity development, adoptee support, issues specific to college stressors, familial strain, and challenges with long-term medical diagnoses.

Before meeting clients will complete digital documentation through their private, personal portal. They can access their portal at anytime to view appointment statuses, retrieve session links, see billing invoices, and submit intake documents. All scheduled Telehealth sessions will come with a one-time video call link sent via email or accessed through the portal before each appointment to maintain security of sessions.

Insurance and Payment

I accept most Blue Cross Blue Shield plans and Optum brands (Optum, United, AllWays, Mass General Brigham Health) . Insurance companies are the only parties that can guarantee that I am in-network with your specific plan. I recommend folks connect with their insurer to confirm coverage so that financial expectations are set at the beginning of therapy. To check coverage, you may need my National Provider Identification (NPI) number: 1972084614.

If clients are interested in paying privately for sessions, I would be happy to provide a super bill for sessions that can be submitted to insurances for possible reimbursement, depending on out-of-network benefits. Private pay sessions begin at $170 per 50 minute meeting.

Clients must be physically located in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, or Florida during the time of their sessions.

Why telehealth?
I transitioned to a 100% telehealth practice during the COVID-19 pandemic. Clients found that video calls are just as effective as in-person meetings, and that commuting to a therapy office before or after a day of school added un-necessary bulk to their busy lives. No more need to navigate unpredictable weather or traffic to attend therapy.

Additionally, telehealth helps clients to access the quality care that they need. No longer are people limited to the providers that live in their area, but they are able to be more selective about provider fit.

**I am considering moving to a hybrid model for clients in the greater Providence, RI area who would like in-person meetings. I am compiling a list of folks looking for in-person, and will secure office space if there is enough interest.**
